In the south of the Dominican Republic is located the hospitable province of San José de Ocoa. Founded in 1805, according to some historians.
This green and hardworking province, demarcate on the north with La Vega and Monseñor Nouel , in the east with San Cristobal, Peravia in the south and Azua in the west.

San José de Ocoa
San José de Ocoa is the main city of the province bearing the same name. A small town with hard working people dedicated mainly to agriculture.
One of the most famous celebrations in the country are held in January ,”Las Fiestas Patronales” are held in honor of “La Virgen de la Altagracia”.
It is a town located between rivers which are part of its attractions, as well its excellent climate and extensive vegetation. Its main attraction is a lake called Ojo de Agua although it is known to locals, is unknown to many.
